Bea McPherson is an up-and-coming racer whose approach to the sport combines passion, curiosity, and an insatiable drive to improve.

Bea was born in California and adopted by her parents, who moved to Michigan for her father’s work in the automotive industry. She grew up there and inherited an identity as a race fan from her father and a spirit of collected confidence from her mother. The first in her family to get behind the wheel, getting to race felt impossible until she found a pivotal opportunity to pilot a FWD Sport Compact for the Brayton Laster Motorsports School at the historic Indianapolis Speedrome. Bea rose to the challenge and came back for more. A perpetual student, she applied what she learned as a race fan to her own performance. Bea sought mentorship within her team, identified skills to improve, and seized another chance to get back in the seat the next week. Her off-track studying earned her a sharp improvement in her lap times. Bea is working toward the next chance to create a perfect lap, earn a better finish, and build a name for herself within the sport.

Away from the track, Bea is a highly qualified educator based in west Michigan. She teaches high school English and seeks to inspire curiosity, creativity, and kindness in her students.
